Liuba, our mermaid, will welcome you at km 0.3 of the coastal road to Xcalak, not far from the lighthouse, where the Mexican Caribbean boasts one of its suggestive landscapes.
The Mar Adentro Dive Center was established on December 13, 2011 south of town, to be relocated after Hurricane Ernesto. Today it is located inside the Blue Kay Ecocabins and in front of the best beach in Mahahual. We are also very close to one of the local dive sites that you can't miss: Los Escalones.

Mar Adentro Diving Mahahual offers a variety of diving and snorkeling services, Mexico that include:
Daily trips to Mahahual reef. Mar Adentro Diving Mahahual we consider "local diving" 10 kms from the Great Mayan Barrier Reef, a privileged segment that adds up to 22 dive sites with three depth ranges and up to six distinct underwater landscapes.
Diving courses: from Discover Scuba Diving, or baptism of diving, to the basic Open Water Diver level, up to the professional guide and many SSI and PADI diving specialties.
Snorkeling: we have snorkeling tours inside the reef lagoon, at a maximum depth of 3 meters and protected from the open sea. There are two different zones: one with coral heads that gather tropical fish and the other formed by patches of sand and sea grass where sea turtles and whip rays can be seen. Includes equipment, life jacket and guide.
Photography and videography services: Mar Adentro Diving Mahahual has professionals who will take pictures and videos of your underwater adventures so you can remember your experiences forever (request in advance).
Our hours of operation are from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, seven days a week. But we are flexible and willing to adapt to your needs, count on us!

Diving equipment included: at no additional cost we provide you with a full set of top quality equipment (except computer and flashlight).

The sea.
1. Never hold your breath
Breathe deeply and slowly underwater. In addition to avoiding lung overexpansion issues, you will save air during your dive.
2. Always dive with a buddy
Always dive with a partner and make sure you stay close at all times.
3. Respect your limits
Always dive within the limits of your training. Train yourself before taking on new challenges.
4. Buoyancy
By maintaining good buoyancy control, you will increase your level of control, which will undoubtedly contribute to safer diving.
5. Pre-dive check
Before diving, check with your buddy: BCD, weights, straps, air, and final OK. This way, you can be sure you are ready to enter the water.
6. Keep learning
The more you practice your diving skills, the safer you will feel underwater. In courses like Rescue Diver, you can also learn rescue maneuvers to increase group safety.
