Unfortunately due to the war in Iran our trip to the Maldives that we had booked with Scuba Finders was ruined. During the preparation of the trip they were super attentive and available for any query. Two days before the flight to the Maldives was due to depart the war started, we got in touch and as soon as the flight cancellation was confirmed, they said they would take charge of the full refund of the trip price. Within the stated timeframe they refunded the money and called us to let us know. It was my first diving trip with them and the truth is they give a lot of security when we've had problems. We didn't have to worry about anything and they handled everything to refund the money. Highly recommended and I'm sure that for the next trip I take I will go to them.

Failed trip due to the war
Unfortunately due to the war in Iran our trip to the Maldives that we had booked with Scuba Finders was ruined. During the preparation of the trip they were super attentive and available for any query. Two days before the flight to the Maldives was due to depart the war started, we got in touch and as soon as the flight cancellation was confirmed, they said they would take charge of the full refund of the trip price. Within the stated timeframe they refunded the money and called us to let us know. It was my first diving trip with them and the truth is they give a lot of security when we've had problems. We didn't have to worry about anything and they handled everything to refund the money. Highly recommended and I'm sure that for the next trip I take I will go to them.

Incredible experience.
Incredible experience. Fast and transparent management with Scuba at all times. We had the bad luck of the war and they gave us security at all times (peace of mind with a 100% refund). They provide you with the documents to fly, insurance, etc. They work in Fuvahmulah with an amazing diving company, super professional, with very direct and fluid contact with them. Great hotel (food, comforts, cleanliness…), top airlines (Etihad). We contacted them about a diving accident, they responded on a Saturday, with full availability. Honestly, for the price they have and the quality of service, it's impossible to find another company like this, even cheaper than if you try to do it on your own (they really pass on their advantages in costs). Take advantage of the staff they have (especially Jorge), and give them a vote of confidence. 100% recommended.

Although we ultimately couldn't make our trip due to the flight being cancelled because of the war situation, their treatment was impeccable at all times. Travel Information
Travel packages to Ecuador typically last between 7 to 10 days, depending on the chosen itinerary. This includes flight days, scheduled diving excursions, and land tours in the Galápagos Islands.
The best time to dive in the Galápagos Islands is from June to November, when the waters are cooler but there is a higher chance of spotting whale sharks and manta rays. From December to May, the waters are warmer and visibility is excellent.
It is recommended to have at least the Advanced Open Water certification due to strong currents and depths at some dive sites.
Booking Process and Documentation
Spanish citizens need a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity; a visa is not required for tourist stays of up to 90 days. You should also bring your diving certification and logbook.
You can log in to Scuba Finders to check availability, view prices for trips to Ecuador, and make your reservation. The system allows you to manage your payments, documentation, and check the status of your reservation at any time.
It is recommended to book at least 3-6 months in advance, especially for the high season (June to November). This allows you to find affordable trips to Ecuador and ensure availability on your desired dates.
Payments and Tips
It is suggested to tip between $150-$250 USD per person for the entire crew and diving guides for a 7-8 day trip. Tips are given in cash at the end of the trip and are distributed among all team members.
The price of the trip to Ecuador includes flights, accommodation, meals, diving, and transfers; however, you should budget approximately $320 USD extra for mandatory fees (National Park and Ingala card) and a $100 USD cabin guarantee.
Excursions and Activities
The packages include up to 4 dives per day, depending on the itinerary and sea conditions, allowing you to explore various dive sites and maximize your encounters with the incredible marine life of Galápagos.
In the waters of Galápagos, you can see hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, white-tip reef sharks, giant manta rays, sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguanas, tropical fish, and a wide variety of endemic species.
Yes, the packages include guided land excursions to explore the islands, observe terrestrial wildlife such as giant tortoises, land iguanas, and endemic birds, as well as visit historical and natural sites in the Galápagos.
Accommodation
Accommodations are provided aboard a specially designed liveaboard diving boat, featuring comfortable cabins with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and communal spaces such as a lounge, dining area, and sun deck.
The cabin guarantee is a refundable deposit that covers potential damages to the cabin or the boat's equipment. If there are no damages, it will be refunded to you at the end of the trip and must be paid in advance before boarding.
Food and Drinks
Full meals are provided, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The menus feature both international and local options, freshly prepared on board. Non-alcoholic beverages and infusions are included without limit.
No, alcoholic beverages are not included in the package and are charged separately on board. You can purchase them with either a credit card or cash, although credit card payments incur a 3% surcharge.
Travel Preparations
The package includes basic diving equipment (regulator, BCD, tanks); however, you should bring your own mask, snorkel, wetsuit (3-5mm recommended), dive computer, and personal accessories. You can also rent equipment on board.
There are no mandatory vaccines required for traveling to the Galápagos Islands from Spain; however, it is advisable to consult with your doctor and consider routine vaccinations. The Scuba Safe insurance included covers diving-related incidents.
Money and Currency
Ecuador uses the United States dollar (USD) as its official currency. You can exchange euros at the airport or banks in Ecuador. It's advisable to carry cash in small denominations for tips and minor expenses.
On board the ship, credit cards are accepted with a 3% surcharge. There are ATMs on the main islands, but it's advisable to carry enough cash, as not all establishments accept cards.
Emergencies and Assistance
The Scuba Safe insurance covers diving accidents, hyperbaric treatment, emergency medical evacuation, and medical expenses related to diving. It's important to review the full terms of coverage before the trip.
Liveaboard boats are equipped with a first aid kit and emergency oxygen. The crew is trained in first aid and CPR. In the event of a serious medical emergency, evacuation to the nearest inhabited island with medical services will be coordinated.
