Rescue Diver Course

2/3 Days. The Rescue Diver course is an intensive and highly educational training for divers. Participants will learn the necessary skills to manage diving accidents, prevent underwater mishaps, and assist dive buddies in distress. Becoming a Rescue Diver will train you to be a reliable dive buddy and a responsible diver. The course begins with home study via PADI E-learning, which includes theoretical instruction, videos, and quizzes. The two days of training consist of rescue practice in both confined water and open water. While the training requires effort, it builds confidence and resilience, transforming you into a competent and capable diver. This is likely to be the course where you learn the most about diving and safety.

Course Options:

1. If you already have a recent EFR or first aid certification, you can start the 2-day Rescue Diver course. You will first complete the E-learning on your own time. Once at our shop, you’ll begin your training by practicing all the rescue skills and scenarios. The first day will be confined water training, and the second day will be open water training. Depending on the divers' experience, this could mean one pool day and one boat day, or two days on the boat.

2. If you don’t have a recent EFR certification, we will provide Emergency First Response (EFR) training alongside the Rescue Diver course. You’ll first study both courses via E-learning in your free time. Once here, we will have a theory day to review EFR skills and rescue techniques, followed by two days of rescue training in confined water and open water.

3. If you’re looking for a more challenging rescue training, we offer the standard EFR and Rescue Diver course mentioned above, but with an additional day of training. The first day will be for EFR skill training and review of rescue theory, the second day will focus on practicing rescue skills in the pool, and then, on the following two days, you will train rescue techniques in open water during boat days.

4 Days. The E-learning for both courses can be completed before the course starts. The training will be over 4 days: the first day will cover EFR skills training, followed by a day of rescue theory review and pool practice. On days 3 and 4, you will be on the boat for two days of rescue action.
