Description
The Deep South in its extended version is a comprehensive journey through the Maldives, from Malé to the equatorial south or vice versa. It traverses North and South Malé, Vaavu, Meemu, Thaa, Laamu, and Huvadhoo, and on voyages of twelve nights or more, it includes Fuvahmulah and Addu.
This dive trip offers a variety of experiences, linking the coral gardens and manta ray sites of the central atolls with the strong current channels and the spectacular pelagic encounters of the deep south. The route navigates through less frequented areas and provides a comprehensive showcase of the archipelago in one journey.
Currents in the channels can be strong, so it is recommended for experienced divers. A one-way domestic flight to Kooddoo or Gan is required. It’s a long-range expedition for those who want to explore the Maldives from north to south.
Itinerary
Departure Day — Arrival in Malé and Boarding
Arrival at Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. Depending on the itinerary, the journey begins in Malé or requires a one-way domestic flight to Kooddoo or Gan (Maldivian Aero). Meet with the operator and transfer to the boat, boarding, settling into your cabin, and safety briefing. First night on board.

If you cancel more than 30 days before the start of the trip: a penalty of 70% of the total amount will apply, which will be non-refundable.
If you cancel 30 days or less before the start of the trip: 100% of the amount will be non-refundable.
