Description
Southern Shark Adventure is the ultimate southern journey: 14 nights between Malé and Addu, from December to March, exploring rarely visited atolls aboard the Emperor Virgo. The route connects South Malé, Vaavu, Meemu, Thaa, Laamu, Huvadhu, and Fuvahmulah in search of sharks and large pelagics: hammerheads, tiger sharks, thresher, and silky sharks, as well as manta rays and eagle rays. The channel dives in Vaavu and Meemu feature soft coral walls; in Thaa, whale sharks may appear at night, attracted by the krill; and in Laamu, particularly on the routes from Malé to Addu, the channels are teeming with life, like Fushi Kandu. Further south, Huvadhu and Fuvahmulah concentrate the pelagic action, while Addu offers the wreck of the HMS British Loyalty. Emperor does not practice shark feeding. All dives are below 18 meters with demanding currents, requiring Deep Diver or Advanced certification and 100 logged dives.
Itinerary
Departure Day: Arrival in Malé (or Addu) and Boarding
This is a 14-night cruise sailing between Malé and Addu, either direction. Arrival is at the corresponding airport for the starting point; when boarding or disembarking in the south, a domestic connection to Gan (Addu) is required. Onboard, cabin assignments will be made, safety briefing conducted, crew introduction held, and paperwork completed, along with a check dive near the port before commencing the route. It is advisable to book an additional day at each end for flight connections.

If you cancel more than 60 days before the start of the trip, a penalty of 30% of the total amount will apply, and it will be non-refundable.
If you cancel 60 days or less before the start of the trip, 100% of the total amount will be non-refundable.
