Master Liveaboards Blue Melody
Rocky, Zabargad & St. John's — Blue Melody (Red Sea, Egypt)
Description
The route Rocky, Zabargad & St. John's navigates the southernmost reefs of the Egyptian Red Sea, a remote and less-frequented area only accessible by liveaboard. The itinerary features vertical walls that drop to great depths, well-preserved hard coral formations, and a reef system, St. John's, interspersed with tunnels, caverns, and corridors where filtered light transforms spots like Cave Reef into a highly sought-after environment for underwater photography.
The marine life varies by location: regular currents attract pelagics at Elphinstone, with grey sharks and Napoleon wrasse common, and during the season, hammerheads and oceanic whitetips, while Fury Shoals offers easier dives with dolphins and two small wrecks.
Due to its exposed nature and currents, this route is aimed at experienced divers seeking reef, wall, and pelagic life in open waters.
