Description
This itinerary combines the most representative points of Palau with its most striking seasonal event: the reproductive aggregation of the double-spotted red snapper (bohar) around the full moon. Every month, in the days leading up to the full moon, thousands of individuals gather at dawn on outer reefs to spawn, forming dense clouds that attract bull and oceanic blacktip sharks; these are early morning dives, with currents and geared towards experienced divers. The rest of the journey links walls and drift channels such as Blue Corner, German Channel, and Ulong Channel, along with Shark City, the Blue Holes, and the Peleliu area, where reef sharks, manta rays, napoleon wrasse, barracudas, and large schools of trevallies are commonly encountered. The pace involves three to four daily dives starting early with breaks on board, and includes one or two dives dedicated to observing the spawning.
Itinerary
Arrival in Koror and Boarding the Black Pearl
Description: Pick-up at the hotel in the late afternoon (between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m., approx.) and transfer to the Black Pearl. Boarding, assignment of cabins, crew introduction, and general safety briefing. Day of adaptation on board before diving starts the next day. Airline, flight schedules, and previous hotel: to be confirmed.
