Description
In seven nights, this itinerary focuses on the Dampier Strait and the southern part of Raja Ampat, with multiple days spent around Misool. It offers a concentrated way to experience what makes this archipelago unique: shallow soft coral reefs, fish-rich drift dives, and habitats that are found nowhere else, such as the clear water mangroves. The program features up to four daily dives, with options for sunset or night dives depending on navigation, and includes overnight travels between dive sites. The diversity here is immense: from tiny macro life such as pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs to encounters with pelagics and large schools of fish. This is a challenging trip with currents, suitable for experienced divers who want to make the most of a week in one of the world’s most biodiverse destinations.
Itinerary
Departure Day — Arrival in Sorong and Boarding
The starting point is the marina in Sorong, where boarding takes place in the early afternoon. After the welcome, safety briefings, and lunch, there is time to set up equipment, settle into the cabin, and relax before dinner. No dives are scheduled on the day of boarding. It is recommended to arrive in Sorong early to avoid any issues with domestic flights.
