Description
Komodo stands out as a prime spot for diving on a global scale. The region hosts vast coral gardens, whose expanse sometimes eclipses that of a soccer field. This diverse underwater flora is easily accessible, with dives reaching moderate depths of around 15 - 20 meters. Dives in Komodo are distinguished by their variety: if you're not exploring a secluded coral reef, you're likely to be observing turtles, clownfish coexisting with colorful anemones, mantas, sharks, groupers, and cuttlefish. Moreover, the marine life in smaller sizes presents a fascinating diversity, with species like nudibranchs, hermit crabs, eels, or mantis shrimp. The calm marine surface adds to a relaxing and fulfilling experience. Komodo is defined by its excellent visibility and biodiversity, along with the thrill of drift dives facilitated by its powerful currents. All of this is experienced aboard the Blue Lotus, a brand new luxury boat.
Itinerary
On the way to Komodo: one way
We depart from Spain approximately 72 hours before the start of the diving trip, heading to Denpasar (Bali). From there, we take the 5:00 PM flight from the domestic terminal (right in front of the international terminal) to arrive in Komodo around 6:30 PM. The hotel staff will pick you up upon arrival. Komodo Airport is small and quite straightforward.
###The hotel will be Katamaran Hotel & Resort, or similar (depending on availability). It's a five-star hotel where you can rest comfortably for this night and the next, having a day to relax and recharge before enjoying the liveaboard trip.
