Japan Blue is the first trip by Scuba Finders that combines two distinct weeks in one destination: an initial stage of cultural discovery through Japan's historic cities (Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Hakone, and Tokyo), followed by a second stage dedicated to diving in Okinawa, the subtropical archipelago in the southern part of the country. The diving segment takes place along the central coast of the main island, in the Onna area, where accessible reef dives alternate with volcanic rock formations such as the famous Blue Cave of Cape Maeda, known for its characteristic turquoise light. The waters are warm and clear, featuring well-preserved coral gardens, turtles, octopuses, moray eels, and dense schools of reef fish, in addition to boat trips to the Kerama and Minna Islands, renowned for their visibility and intense blue hues. This is a leisurely-paced journey, designed for those who want to delve deeply into Japan and enjoy a week of comfortable and varied diving, free from challenging currents and large pelagics.

Diving in Okinawa is managed by Sunkissed Divers Okinawa, a PADI center with English-speaking instructors and small group sizes. It operates from three bases along the central coast of the island: its main base in Onna, near Cape Maeda and the Blue Cave, a shop in Sunabe (Chatan), and a guest house and reservation office in Yomitan. They combine shore dives with boat trips to more remote spots and organize daily logistics including pickups, tanks, and guiding. The trip profile is for accessible reef diving, catering to certified divers from beginner to intermediate levels, with some sites of greater interest for advanced divers.
