Alor forms its own microcosm, fueled by the currents flowing between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, resulting in nutrient-rich waters and an unusual mix of large fauna and macro life. This 8-night itinerary combines pristine walls teeming with life, sloping reefs, and some of the best muck dives in the country, with Kalabahi Bay and Wai Wawong as settings for the search of rhinopias, ghost pipefish, and seahorses. The channels between islands are a thoroughfare for cetaceans, and it is not uncommon to spot whales during the sailings, with the Komba volcano as a backdrop. The route alternates between days of current and pelagic diving in Rusa and days dedicated to macro, offering a varied safari, away from the more traveled paths, designed for divers who value biodiversity over mass abundance. The itinerary takes place aboard the Damai II, the latest addition to the fleet (2011), with satellite wifi and a television in each cabin.
