Program

We aim to provide you with the best possible diving experience; however, various factors determine the route chosen by the Cruise Director and Captain, as well as the dive sites we visit. Weather conditions, tides, currents, and the presence of other dive vessels at a particular site can all influence the course of the journey. While we strive to fulfill the scheduled number of dives, bad weather may prevent the yacht from reaching specific dive sites in the planned timeframe. The safety of everyone on board is our highest priority, and we always do our best to offer alternative dive locations if we are unable to reach those listed below.

A Typical Day

A regular diving day usually follows this schedule:

• 06:00 Wake-up call

• 06:30 - 07:00 Light breakfast followed by briefing and Dive 1

• 08:30 Full breakfast, relaxation period

• 10:30 Briefing and Dive 2

• 12:30 Lunch, relaxation period

• 14:30 Briefing and Dive 3

• 16:00 Snack, relaxation period

• 19:00 Dinner

The following describes the dive sites we may visit during your liveaboard safari aboard the M/Y White Pearl.

This itinerary takes you far from the crowds to a UNESCO reserve filled with thilas (underwater pinnacles) teeming with marine life, stunning bays where mantas dance during full and new moons, vibrant coral gardens, cleaning stations, and shipwrecks in crystal-clear waters. On the return journey, you’ll dive some of the North Male Atoll’s top sites.

We may adjust the sequence of atolls depending on the moon phase and other conditions for the best experience.

Day 1

• Arrival at Male International Airport (or Dharavandhoo) from 12 pm

• Welcome cocktail, crew introduction, and general briefing

Day 2

North Male Atoll → Baa Atoll (~3 dives)

Recommended dive sites (North Male Atoll):

• Banana Reef
  A legendary Maldivian site featuring vivid coral, caves, and overhangs, home to reef sharks, groupers, and Napoleon wrasses.

• Manta Point (Lankan Manta Point)
  A prime manta ray cleaning station (May–November). You may also spot reef sharks, turtles, and colorful reef fish.

• Nassimo Thila
  A deeper dive with strong currents, suited for advanced divers. Expect coral-covered swim-throughs, barracudas, tunas, and eagle rays.

• HP Reef (Rainbow Reef)
  A protected marine area with strong currents, renowned for soft corals, jackfish schools, sharks, and dramatic coral formations.

Days 3–5

Baa Atoll (~3 dives/day)

Recommended dive sites:

• Hanifaru Bay (Snorkeling only)
  UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its mass gatherings of mantas and whale sharks during June–November.

• Dhigu Thila
  A colorful pinnacle dive with coral gardens, snappers, fusiliers, and white-tip reef sharks.

• Nelivaru Thila
  Famous for its overhangs and large schools of batfish, eagle rays, and humphead wrasses.

Day 6

South Raa Atoll (~3 dives)

Recommended dive sites:

• Milaidhoo Caves
  Features large coral structures, macro life, reef fish, turtles, and relaxed cave exploration.

• Fenfushi Thila
  Crystal-clear visibility and lively reefs with grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and barracudas.

• Kottefaru Thila
  Strong currents and deeper waters attract large pelagic species — a site for experienced divers.

Day 7

Return to Baa → North Male Atoll (~2 dives)

• Bill Settlement

• A night dive may be arranged depending on conditions

Day 8

Departure from Male International Airport (6:00 – 9:00 am)

• Service Charge: 10% of guest booking amount, payable onboard
