ITINERARY

This life on board will touch on everything from wrecks to reefs and national parks.

The itinerary would be as follows:

• Sunday: Check-in at 16:00 + 2 check dives to familiarise yourself with the environment and break the ice.

• Monday: 3 dives in Ras Mohamed National Park

• Tuesday: 3-4 dives at the SS Thistlegorm

• Wednesday: 3 dives at Abu Nahas Reef

• Thursday: 1 dive at Rosalie Moller and 2 dives at Gubal Island (wreck of the Ulysses)

• Friday: 2 last dives to finish your dive trip and leave with a good taste in your mouth + equipment collection.

• Saturday: Breakfast and check-out at 10:00 am.

We will combine wreck dives with some of the most beautiful coral gardens, such as Ras Mohammed National Park, one of the world's diving meccas.

We will visit Fossil Islands and enjoy one of the natural wonders of our planet, the coral reefs.

‘SS Thistlegorm is probably the most famous wreck in the Red Sea and one of the finest wrecks in the world. Sunk in 1941 during World War II, this British freighter was on a resupply mission for the British Army in North Africa when it was hit by a German bomber.

tected by a German bomber. The explosion tore the ship in two, and it now lies at a depth of between 1 8 and 30 metres. Divers can explore the wreck, which is filled with military supplies such as trucks, cars, small tanks, guns and two steam locomotives. The interior is easily penetrable, surrounded by a plethora of marine life, making it a must-see for experienced divers.

Abu Nuhas’ reef is famous for its wrecks. On this reef lie 4 accessible wrecks.

One of them is the Greek cargo ship ‘Giannis D.’, which ran aground on the reef in 1983. The bow and stern are complete, while the large hold is in pieces. The stern is the most interesting area, located between 5m. deep and 27m. deep, where we can penetrate and visit all the rooms, including the large engine room, leaving us with images that will remain in our memory forever.

One of the first motor-sailing ships, the ‘Carnatic’ ran aground in 1869, so we find a wreck full of corals of all kinds. It lies heeled to starboard at a depth of 24m. The ‘Dunraven’ was a steamship and sailing ship carrying spices and timber. In 1876 during a voyage from Bombay to Newcastle, it collided with the Sha'ab Mahmoud reef, where it sank hours later. She lies on a 28m. bottom upside down, showing her hull and impressive propeller at 19m. She is covered with all kinds of corals and teeming with small life. Although the 2 wooden masts have disappeared, there is still a trace of them on the seabed offering us another beautiful image. We can penetrate through the stern and make out the engines, the large cauldron, the base of the stern mast..., enjoying wonderful backlights of soft coral and gorgonians that make this wreck one of the most special of the route.

The ‘Gobal Island’, a perfect place to spend the night and make one of the most beautiful nocturnes in the Red Sea. It is home to a small, ancient wreck, of which only the hull remains, full of life. In the coral garden where it rests we can enjoy an infinity of species of corals that have a lot of life around them. Not to be missed.

Ras Mohammed National Park in the Sinai Peninsula stretches from Ras Zaatar to Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef, and was declared a national park in 1983 for its unique and wonderful ecosystem with over 1000 species of coral reefs, and its unique coral reefs. It offers different dive sites such as, ‘Shark Reef’ where it is possible to see sharks and large pelagics early in the morning. ‘Anemone City, with its spectacular anemones full of life and colour. ‘Yolanda Reef, where the cargo of the Cypriot ship ‘Yolanda’, which sank in 1980 and was carrying a large amount of sanitary equipment, can be found on the seabed. Both reefs are located on the same platform of a plateau about 30m apart.

This area guarantees the appearance of sea turtles, a common sight on this dive. On our tour along the wall of both reefs we will be able to enjoy large pelagics and napoleon wrasse. We will plan at least two dives so that you can get to know and photograph all its nooks and crannies without haste.
