In the Rescue Diver course you will learn the rescue manoeuvres of a diver, as well as gain confidence and safety underwater. The course consists of a theoretical part, the EFR course and a practical part:
The EFR (Emergency First Response): 1 day course where the student will learn about first aid and CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation).
10 rescue exercises:
- Tired diver
- Panicked Diver
- Response from shore, boat or dock (conscious diver)
- Diver in trouble underwater
- Missing diver
- Bringing an unconscious diver to the surface
- Unconscious diver at the surface
- Exiting the water with an unconscious diver
- First aid related to pressure and oxygen administration
- Response from shore, boat or dock (unconscious diver)
2 rescue simulations:
- Unconscious diver underwater
- Unconscious diver on the surface
Prerequisites:
- Previous experience: Adventure Diver certification (have completed at least 2 Adventure Dives of the Advanced Open Water
- Minimum age: 12 years old
