Discover Scuba Diving

Description

Ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the leap to a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. PADI dive shops offer this programme in a pool, on the beach or from a dive boat. You can try scuba diving close to home or while on holiday at a dive destination. Although not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it's like to explore the underwater world.

To enrol in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No previous diving experience is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.

Academic

You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills necessary to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you do an open water dive, you'll practice some more skills in shallow water to prepare you for your adventure. Be prepared to:

• Review the scuba equipment you'll use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.

• Find out what it's like to breathe underwater.

• Learn key skills that you will use on each dive.

• Have fun swimming and exploring.

Gear

Your PADI Professional will provide you with all the basic scuba equipment you will use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, scuba instruments and a tank.

Included:

• Theory part taught by your dive instructor.

• Practice in the pool.

• Scuba equipment during the course.

• PADI certification.
