Advanced Open Water Diver Course in Lanzarote 

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is additional training designed to improve your diving skills and allow you to explore new areas of recreational diving. This course is ideal for those who already hold the PADI Open Water Diver certification and wish to expand their knowledge and experience.

Knowledge Development:

• Study Materials: This can be completed through classroom sessions, eLearning or a combination of both.

• Topics Covered: Basic principles of diving, such as the physics and physiology of diving, equipment use and dive planning.

Confined water dives:

• Location: Generally conducted in a pool or in shallow, calm water.

• Skills Practised: Basic diving skills, such as mask clearing, buoyancy control and emergency procedures.

Open Water Dives:

• Location: Performed in a natural body of water such as a lake, ocean or quarry.

• Applied Skills: Practical application of skills learned during confined water sessions.

Course Requirements

• Minimum Age: Generally 10 years old.

• Physical Condition: Good general health and swimming ability.

• Duration: The course usually lasts between 3 and 4 days, but may vary depending on the availability of the student and the dive centre.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, students earn the Open Water Diver certification, which allows them to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres (60 feet) independently with a certified buddy.
