At night, the underwater world changes completely. The species that are seen during the day hide and the nocturnal diversity comes out. Have you ever wondered what happens when it gets dark? Then the Night Diving Specialty is perfect for you.

Diving at night teaches you to focus on what you can see under the beam of your light, control your buoyancy, stay with your partner, and pay attention to details that you may overlook during the day.

What does the Night Diving Specialty consist of?

It consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.

• Theoretical part: To complete the theoretical part, we will give you the Night Diver manual and after reading it, you will complete the simple knowledge review that appears at the end of it. In the classroom, they will correct it by resolving all your possible doubts.

• Practical part: You will do 4 dives in which you will practice:

  • Night navigation and orientation

  • You will analyse the life that these dives harbour and their predatory behaviour

  • You will practice light loss protocols (you will navigate in the dark and you will have to make the stop at 3m and ascend to the surface without light)

  • Emergencies at night

  • Buoyancy ascents and descents at depths greater than -12m.

  • Launching a signalling buoy at a safety stop

  • Breathing from a safety bottle

• What do I have to bring to do the Night Diving Specialty?

We recommend you bring a swimsuit and towel, and if you tend to get seasick when traveling by car or boat, we also recommend you take some motion sickness pills.

• What is the maximum depth we will go to?

The maximum depth in the Night Diving Specialty is 18 meters.
