Have you ever been disoriented underwater?

With the Underwater Navigation Specialty, you will improve your observation techniques and learn to use the compass more accurately underwater. With this specialty, you will know how to continue because you will know where you are and where you are going.

Note: The first dive of this specialty can serve as credit as an Adventure Dive for your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday: 4:00 PM

What does the Underwater Navigation Specialty consist of?

It consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.

  • In the theorical part, you will learn the necessary theory to carry out the dives.

  • In the practical part, you will do 3 dives in which you will practice:

    • Methods to estimate distances underwater.

    • Navigation with a compass making at least five turns.

    • How to mark or relocate a submerged object or a position from the surface.

    • Making underwater maps.
