Fun Dive with Blue Shark at Haliotis Faial Equipment included

Boat shark diving trip during the morning or afternoon period to one dive site intended for certified divers.

Diving with Blue Sharks is an amazing experience. It is offshore diving far from the coast in depths reaching 500 meters. Blue sharks are shy creatures so chum is required to get them to get close to the boat. Diving with blue sharks is a drift dive and diving depths should not exceed 15 meters. Although Blue Sharks is the most common species of sharks to be sighted sometimes Mako and even oceanic hammerhead are possible although rare sightings.

The meeting point is in our diving center located in Marina da Horta, Shops A5 & C5 where you will prepare all the diving equipment. The starting time must be scheduled with the dive center. We have dressing rooms to change clothing.

You will assemble your scuba unit in the marina, close to the boat (the tanks and weights will be there to make logistics easier).

Boat trips lasts an average of 45 to 90 minutes depending on the dive site. Surface interval is spent on board and we provide water and snacks. If you are prone to seasickness it is recommend to take a seasickness pill because the entire time will be spent on the boat. You can have a hot shower in our dressing rooms in the end of the dive.

In the dive trip it’s included dive guide, one 12L tank with air, weights, snacks, water and insurance. Scuba diving equipment is not included but can be rented, as well as other extras.
