Facilities at our dive base in Phuket
Our modern dive bases in Phuket consist of customer service areas, dive equipment showrooms, equipment rental, as well as maintenance and repair stations and tank filling stations.
Our training centre is only a few minutes walk from the dive base at the Palm Garden Resort. The classrooms are equipped with modern multimedia devices and air conditioning.
In the heart of the resort there is also a three metre deep swimming pool where our beginners and training classes are held. Right next to the dive base is our cosy restaurant, serving Thai and international cuisine. It is the perfect place to meet up with your dive buddies at the end of the day.
Ideal location for diving excursions in Phuket, Thailand
In Phuket, all dive trips depart from Chalong harbour. All divers have to be transported from their hotel to the harbour in the morning.
As our dive school is only a few meters away from the harbour, we are in an ideal location for day trips.
Our resort is within walking distance of the harbour and the dive centre, making for short journeys.
We have an international team of instructors, guides and staff, so if you feel more comfortable learning and communicating in a language other than English, please let us know and we will make the necessary arrangements.
MV Excalibur
Climb aboard the ‘MV Excalibur II’ and get ready to explore magnificent waterfalls, caves, wrecks and extensive rock formations, all of which are home to a rich and varied variety of corals and fish.
This beautiful 23-metre vessel offers you an unforgettable day of diving while catering to our two main priorities: your safety and your enjoyment. On the lower deck you will find two equipment rooms. In the first you can safely store and dry your own equipment.
On the spacious dive deck, each diver has their own area, with two full tanks and a box to store their equipment. After diving, you can hang your wetsuit to dry and rinse your equipment with our on board fresh water tanks. The ‘MV Excalibur II’ also has two shower cabins and a western style toilet with sink.
Up a short flight of stairs you will reach the first saloon, furnished with ample storage space, power sockets for your torches and two comfortable sofas. Our cook will delight you with her fabulous Thai cuisine.
Every day she prepares delicious breakfasts and lunches in the kitchen, always fresh, healthy and rich in local flavours.
Equipment rental
We include equipment in all our activities, except Fun Dives, in this case, if you don't have equipment, you can rent it directly from the center.

The sea.
1. Never hold your breath
Breathe deeply and slowly underwater. In addition to avoiding lung overexpansion issues, you will save air during your dive.
2. Always dive with a buddy
Always dive with a partner and make sure you stay close at all times.
3. Respect your limits
Always dive within the limits of your training. Train yourself before taking on new challenges.
4. Buoyancy
By maintaining good buoyancy control, you will increase your level of control, which will undoubtedly contribute to safer diving.
5. Pre-dive check
Before diving, check with your buddy: BCD, weights, straps, air, and final OK. This way, you can be sure you are ready to enter the water.
6. Keep learning
The more you practice your diving skills, the safer you will feel underwater. In courses like Rescue Diver, you can also learn rescue maneuvers to increase group safety.
