If you've already completed the Open Water Diver course and are ready to dive even deeper into the world of scuba diving, the Advanced Open Water Diver course is the next step in your underwater adventure. This course is known as the most exciting and fun course of all, as it allows you to explore different diving specialties through adventure dives, expanding your knowledge and skills in the water.

What does the Advanced Open Water Diver Course consist of?

The course is structured in 2 compulsory specialties and 3 electives, each with a theoretical and practical part. This allows you to customize your training according to your interests and the environment in which you dive.

Compulsory Specialities:

• Deep Dive: You will do an open water dive to a depth of 30 metres (21 metres if you are between 12 and 14 years old), where you will practice specific exercises to manage pressure and other deep diving conditions.

• Underwater Navigation: You'll learn how to use the compass underwater, improve your underwater orientation and practice bearing tracing, as well as advanced buoyancy control.

Choice of Adventure Dives:

You can choose up to 3 additional specialties depending on the options offered by your dive centre. Here are some of the most popular among divers:

• Night Diving

• Nitrox Diving

• Buoyancy Control

• Search and Recovery

• Underwater Photography

• Dry Suit Diving

• Drift Diving

• Underwater Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)

• Use of Surface Marker Buoy

Entry Requirements

• Previous certification: Open Water Diver

• Minimum age: 12 yearsold

Practical Details

• Compulsory dives: 2 open water dives, corresponding to the Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation specialties.

• Additional dives: 3 adventure dives to choose from those offered by your dive centre.

• Maximum depth: 30 metres (21 metres for divers between 12 and 14 years old).
