Cenote Carwash (Aktun Ha)

Cenote Carwash, officially known as Cenote Aktun Ha, is an open-air cenote with crystal clear waters offering exceptional visibility. Located near Tulum, this cenote is perfect for both swimmers and divers. Its fascinating underwater world is filled with rock formations, lush vegetation and is home to a variety of aquatic species, including a crocodile! The depth of the cenote varies between 8 and 10 metres, making it ideal for snorkelling and enjoying the marine fauna swimming around you.

This cenote has a curious history, as in the past it was used by drivers passing along the road to wash their cars, hence its nickname ‘Carwash’. Nowadays, it is a peaceful place and perfect for those looking for a diving experience in a natural environment full of life.

Casa Cenote

Casa Cenote, also known as Cenote Manatí, is a paradisiacal place located near the sea. This cenote is ideal for snorkelers, with water so clear that you can see every detail from the surface. Surrounded by mangroves, Casa Cenote is a beautiful freshwater channel connected directly to the ocean, giving it a unique ecosystem where fresh and salt water species mix. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to swim alongside tropical fish and, with some luck, spot a turtle.

The setting is magical, as the combination of the mangroves and the transparency of the water creates a surreal experience, as if you were floating above a natural aquarium.
