Environmental Education

It's a process through which we aim to instill respect for our natural environment in the public. The goal is to develop habits that promote awareness of environmental issues, incorporating values and providing tools to prevent and solve these problems. 🌱

Be Coral: Our Lines of Action

Recycling

We implemented a recycling plan at the Red Panda hostel, where cans, glass, cigarette butts, and PET are sorted. ♻️🚮

Digital Content

We use social media to educate about the importance of marine ecosystems, their threats, and their protection. 🌊💻

Ocean Nights

We host talks and screenings of documentaries about science and the environment in a bar, open to the entire adult community. 🍹🎥

Cleaning

We actively participate in cleaning beaches and cenotes, protecting these valuable natural spaces. 🏖️🧹

Sea Turtles

We support campaigns for the protection of sea turtles through nest monitoring and awareness activities. 🐢

Talks and Workshops

We collaborate with educational institutions to offer practical tools and encourage critical thinking. 🏫🛠️

Training

At Be Coral, we develop internal skills in the staff of Be Diving through periodic training on environmental topics. 📈🌿

Why Take Charge of Environmental Education?

Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System

Each year, over 16 million people visit the world's second largest coral barrier. Despite its economic and conservation importance, mass tourism can harm the reefs. Our role is crucial to minimize negative impacts and promote responsible practices. 🐠🛡️
