The Advanced Open Water Diver course is the next level after completing the Open Water Diver. If you enjoyed the first course and want to continue to expand your knowledge of the diving world, you are in the right place. It is considered the most fun diving course of all, as you will complete various adventure dives and learn about the different branches of scuba diving.
The course is composed as follows; 2 compulsory specialities and 3 to choose from. Each of them will have a theoretical section and a practical part.
Compulsory:
Deep Diving: divers will do 1 open water dive to a depth of 30 metres (21 metres if they are between 12 and 14 years old), with their respective practical exercises.
Underwater Navigation: students will learn to use the compass and to orientate themselves underwater, plotting courses and controlling buoyancy.

The range is very wide and the choice of these dives will depend on the centre where they are to be undertaken. A maximum of three should be chosen, but the most popular among divers are the following:
Night dives
Nitrox
Buoyancy
Search and recovery
Underwater photography
Dry Suit
Currents
Propulsion vehicle (DPV)
Surface marker buoy
Requirements:
With PADI - Be a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent with other agencies (SSI, SNSI, CMAS, FMAS, NAUI, etc.).
With SNSI - Be a SNSI Open Water Diver or equivalent with other agencies (SSI, PADI, CMAS, FMAS, NAUI, etc.) A minimum of 18 logged dives is required for certification.

With PADI - 2 MANDATORY: Navigation, Deep + 3 TO CHOOSE FROM THE FOLLOWING: from boat, current, buoyancy, underwater photography (with your own camera), Underwater Naturalist acquiring species table, wreck.
With SNSI - 2 MANDATORY: Buoyancy, Deep + 2-3 TO CHOOSE FROM THE FOLLOWING: from boat, current, , navigation, night.
