Cenote Tajma Ha

Is it cenote Taj Mahal or Tajma ha? In fact, it is both. Among local cave divers, this wonderful cenote had the original nickname of "The Taj Mahal". The name stuck until one day, an ingenious soul realised that "ha" in Mayan means "water", so it was through this clever play on words that Tajma Ha got its name. There is a reason why the cenote was given this name:

Quite simply, it is one of the most impressive cenotes you can dive in and around Puerto Aventuras. If you go at the perfect time of year, the light display is incredible. But at any other time, the limestone rock formations, maze of tunnels and huge chambers of this series of connected caves are a wonderful sight, even if you're an experienced cave diver. You'll discover rocks that glow when light reflects off them, fossils, a fascinating halocline effect and much more on this challenging dive.

Cenote Ponderosa

It is one of the Cenotes in the Riviera Maya known as Garden of Eden, it lives up to its name, it is a family place to swim, spend a relaxing and fun day.

The cenote has a great variety of depths for snorkelling, diving and for those who simply want to swim and don't dare to dive too deep. We recommend you bring snorkels or rent one as there is a lot to see.

• Open Water Diver.

• Dive Insurance

* Minumum 4 dives after the OWD
