Bayahibe, location on the Caribbean side of the island, one of the best dive sites in the Dominican Republic, famous for its coral reefs and wrecks.

Diving excursion to Bayahibe, located on the Caribbean side of the island, one of the best dive sites in the Dominican Republic, famous for its coral reefs and wrecks.

Upon arrival in Bayahibe we will assemble our dive gear, get ready and set sail for the first dive site.

Depending on the level of the diver, this first dive may be on a shallow but lively coral reef at a maximum depth of 10 meters or to the most famous dive site in the area, the St George wreck , the wreck lies at a depth of 44 m / 144 ft, but the top of the wreck is only 15 m / 50 ft.

This artificial reef has been sunk since 1999 and is richly inhabited by many different species of marine life, including barracuda. During the dive you will see different types of fish swimming around and we are sure you will enjoy exploring the wreck and all its rooms (penetration of the wreck is reserved for more experienced divers).

On the second dive, all divers will enjoy another shallow wreck called Atlantic Princess, which was sunk deliberately between 2008 and 2009. It is located at about 12m / 40ft depth, so it is a very nice dive site for Open Water divers as well as for more experienced divers.

For the dive it is necessary to bring physical or digital certification and for non-certified divers who are going to do the Discover Scuba Diver programme, it is necessary to do the theory and pool training at least the day before at our facilities.

All dives are always conducted from a boat and under the supervision of an Instructor or Divemaster.

At the end of the two dives we will return to land in Bayahibe, where we will have a snack and depart back to our hotel.

  • 06:45: Pick up in Punta Cana

  • 07:45: Meeting point

  • 08:30: Coffee stop

  • 09:00: Arrival in Bayahibe

  • 09:15: Departure for Dive 1

  • 10:00: Dive Viva Shallow or St. George

  • 10:45: End of Dive 1

  • 11:00: Preparation for Dive 2

  • 11:15: Dive at Atlantic Princess

  • 12:00: End of Dive 2

  • 12:30: Return to Bayahibe - Snack

  • 13:30: Arrival in Bavaro
