Dive at Wreck Monica
Depth: 15 metres / 50 feet
The Wreck Monica is a fascinating wreck of a French cargo ship from the 1880s, which was carrying materials for the construction of the Panama Canal. However, the ship came too close to our shores and ran aground on the local reefs. Today, divers can explore its complete propeller, parts of the machinery, the boiler and other elements that are preserved underwater. In addition, railway construction materials can be observed. Small, narrow but beautiful caves have formed between the ship and the reef, adding a special touch to the dive. The depth of the site varies between 5 and 15 metres, and is only half a mile offshore, making it accessible and attractive to divers of all levels.
