Fun Dive at El Ancla
Depth: 19 metres / 62 feet
Anchor is a historic dive site with a depth varying between 14 and 19 metres. This is the site where the sailors of the freighter Monica dropped anchor when they realised they were dangerously close to shore. Although the anchor was removed from the water by local inhabitants, the chain remains on the reef, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past. Diving at this site will allow you to explore the remains of this maritime history while enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding reef.
Highlights:
Maritime History: Explore the Monica's anchor chain, a remnant of a 19th century shipwreck.
Rich Marine Life Reef: Discover the flora and fauna that inhabit this historic site.
Moderate Depth: Ideal for intermediate divers looking for a dive with history and marine life.
Conditions: Good visibility with accessible depths for divers of varying levels of experience.
