Dive on the St. George Wreck - Bayahibe
Depth: 40 metres / 131 feet
Description: Immerse yourself in the history and marine life at the St. George Shipwreck, located just half a mile off the coast of Dominicus in Bayahibe. This impressive 73-metre (240-foot) long ship was built in 1962 in Scotland and was originally used to transport wheat and barley from Europe to the Caribbean. Today, the St. George has been transformed into a vibrant artificial reef, home to a diverse marine community, including barracuda, moray eels, king mackerel and groupers, among other species. Due to its depth of 40 metres, this dive is recommended for advanced divers only.
