Description: The Atlantic Princess was a small cruise ship used by tourists in the Bayahibe region. In 2008, during Tropical Storm Fay, the ship ran aground on the beach. Originally, it was planned to sink the ship to create an underwater environment and artificial reef for visitors to enjoy. However, the Atlantic Princess sank on its own on 6 May 2009 and now rests just 12 metres (40 feet) below the surface. This dive site is ideal for everyone from beginners to experts, thanks to its abundant marine life and shallow waters.
