What does the Search and Recovery Specialty consist of?

It consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.

  • In the theorical part, you will learn how to gather information and resources, and how to carefully plan a search and recovery.

  • In the practical part, you will do 4 dives in which you will practice:

    • Following search patterns using your compass and natural navigation

    • Locating large and small objects using different search patterns

    • Using the lift bag for large or heavy objects, in addition to other recovery methods.
