Rescue Diver Course: Improve Your Dive Confidence and Safety 🛟

The Rescue Diver course is essential for any diver who wants to take their skills to the next level. This course will teach you the rescue manoeuvres needed to assist a diver in distress and help you gain confidence and safety underwater. The course is divided into three key parts: theory, the EFR (Emergency First Response) course, and practical:

The Emergency First Response (EFR) course is an intensive one-day training course designed to teach you first aid and CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation).

10 Rescue Exercises

During the practical part of the course, you will perform 10 rescue exercises covering a wide range of scenarios:

• Tired diver

• Panicked diver

• Response from shore, boat or dock (conscious diver)

• Diver in trouble underwater

• Missing diver

• Bringing an unconscious diver to the surface

• Unconscious diver at the surface

• Exiting the water with an unconscious diver

• First aid related to pressure and oxygen administration

• Response from shore, boat or dock (unconscious diver)

2 Rescue Drills

To consolidate what you have learnt, you will complete two rescue drills:

• Unconscious diver underwater

• Unconscious diver on the surface

Course Requirements

• Previous experience: Adventure Diver Certification (including at least 2 Advanced Open Water Adventure Dives)

• Minimum age: 12 years old

• Dive theory: Includes teaching materials and theory exam.

• Practical: You will complete the 10 rescue exercises and 2 open water rescue drills.
