PADI Scuba Diver Course with Aquasub Diving

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver certification may be right for you, especially if you expect to dive primarily with a dive guide.

This course is an intermediate step towards Open Water Diver certification, if that's your ultimate goal.

PADI Divers are qualified to:

• Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.

• Obtain air refills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities as long as you are properly supervised.

• Continue your dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty dive courses.

To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver (or Junior Scuba Diver) course, you must be 10 years of age or older. You must have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health. No previous dive experience is required, but you can try scuba diving first through the Discover Scuba® Diving programme.

ACADEMIC

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

• Knowledge development (eLearning, independent or classroom study) to understand the basics of scuba diving - only the first three of the five sections of the Open Water Diver course.

• Confined water dives to learn basic scuba diving techniques: only the first three of the five dives of the Open Water Diver course.

• Open water dives to use your skills and explore: only two of the four Open Water Diver course dives. These can be done at our dive station in Bahia Solano - Choco.

Important NOTE: You must wait at least 18 hours on land before flying after your last dive. Aquasub Buceo makes this clarification so that you can schedule your return flight in time.
