If you've ever wondered what it's like to be submerged underwater breathing with scuba equipment, the Discover Scuba Diving programme is your gateway to this wonderful world, the world of PADI scuba diving.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the leap to a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. PADI dive shops offer this programme in a pool, on the beach or from a dive boat. You can try scuba diving close to home or while on holiday at a dive destination. Although not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it's like to explore the underwater world.

To enrol in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No previous dive experience is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.

You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills necessary to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you do an open water dive, you'll practice some more skills in shallow water to prepare you for your adventure. Be prepared for:

• Review dive procedures and the scuba equipment you'll use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.

• Experience what it feels like to breathe underwater.

• Learn skills to make a safe dive.

• Perform an open water dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres ( 40 feet). Optional can be done at our Bahia Solano station.

• Have fun swimming and exploring the underwater environment.

• Hear how to become a certified diver with the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver course.

• See the options we have for travelling and seeing new and exciting places.

NOTE: Completing the Discover Scuba Diving program does not earn you any scuba certification, however you can advance to the Scuba Diver course by completing the first three theory modules and making a total of two open water dives.

NOTE: You must wait at least 12 hours of surface interval before taking a flight or ascending to more than 300 metres above sea level.
