Naturpark – Nabq Excursion

Discover the untouched beauty of the Nabq National Park, located on the Gulf of Aqaba. Spanning over 600 km², this pristine natural reserve is home to diverse bird species and lush mangrove ecosystems. Despite being one of Sinai’s first dive sites, the area remains largely unaffected by mass tourism, preserving its natural underwater world. With no paved roads in sight, Nabq offers an authentic and tranquil experience, both above and below the water.

PROGRAM:

Your adventure begins at 7:45 a.m. with a departure from our diving center or your hotel. After a scenic 1-hour drive, we arrive at the Nabq National Park. Our first dive site, “Shrimpfarm”, is nestled in the heart of the desert. In a shaded shelter, we’ll prepare our equipment for a relaxed dive, surrounded by gorgonian forests, coral gardens, and seagrass meadows. The easy beach entry leads us to a serene underwater world.

After the dive, we take a break with light snacks and drinks before heading to our second dive site, “Nakhlet el Thal”. As we walk along the shallow water, we approach the reef barrier visible from 250 meters offshore. Upon descending into the crystal-clear waters, you’ll be mesmerized by the enchanting underwater landscape—coral blocks surrounded by sea grass meadows at a maximum depth of 12-14 meters. The light conditions here are spectacular, enhancing the beauty of this untouched underwater paradise.

After the dives, we’ll enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant in Nabq before returning to the hotel or diving center around 5:00 p.m.
