Dahab - Canyon and Blue Hole Excursion

Embark on an unforgettable journey to one of the most legendary dive sites in the world! Dahab, a village whose name means "gold," is famous for its iconic dive sites: the "Blue Hole" and "The Canyon." With its untouched beauty, Dahab has preserved its authenticity over the years, offering a unique cultural experience amidst stunning natural landscapes. Located just an hour's drive from Sharm el Sheikh, on the Gulf of Aqaba, the village is home to goats, camels, and friendly Bedouin children who sell traditional handmade bracelets.

PROGRAM:

Your adventure begins early, around 6:45 a.m., with departure from your hotel. After a scenic 1.5-hour drive in our air-conditioned minibus, we arrive at the legendary Blue Hole, one of the most famous dive sites in the world. Once we reach the beach, we take shelter in one of the Bedouin coffee shops, where we can relax with a tea or coffee while preparing our diving equipment.

After a short break, we gear up and walk just 5 minutes to the dive site, known as "El Bells." The dive begins as we descend through a hole in the reef, which leads us to an underwater chimney. Moving past the steep coral walls, we enter the Blue Hole, where we can either dive through the open water or follow the wall to the exit.

After our first dive, we take a surface break and enjoy a scenic ride to our second dive site, The Canyon. After about 15 minutes, we arrive and treat ourselves to a well-deserved breakfast.

Our second dive begins with an easy entry from the beach, passing through a sandy lagoon. As we approach the Canyon, the surface is dotted with bubbles rising from the depths, signaling that we've reached our destination. The Canyon starts at about 20 meters deep and stretches down to over 50 meters. The high walls and narrow passages create a dramatic and awe-inspiring environment, perfect for cave diving enthusiasts. We’ll pass by sand eels and colorful coral blocks before exiting the Canyon.

After the dives, we head back to the village, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal by the water. You’ll also have free time to explore and shop before returning to Sharm. We’ll be back at your hotel around 5:30 p.m.
