Description
The diving trip to Abu Dabbab in Marsa Alam offers divers the opportunity to explore the spectacular bay known worldwide for its marine diversity. The reefs to the north and south are home to a rich and varied underwater flora and fauna. You can expect a vibrant marine display of multicolored fish and spectacular formations of both soft and hard corals. The bay is also famous for the presence of the majestic bowmouth guitarfish. The middle of the bay, where seagrass areas intertwine between two imposing reefs, often transforms into a scene of tranquility where giant turtles and elusive dugongs come daily to feed. In addition to the daily diving experience, special dives are available, such as a full-day excursion to observe dolphins, a double dive at Elphistone, a renowned shark meeting point (requires Advanced certification +50 dives), and a day dedicated to tracking dugongs.
Itinerary
Arrival at Marsa Alam
We will depart from Spain by plane, and usually flights departing from Spain arrive at night in Hurghada - between midnight and 4 in the morning.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet the driver in charge of the transfer who will take you to your final destination, Marsa Alam, in a journey of approximately two and a half hours.
Once there, we will mainly take this day to rest.
Blue Ocean Dive Centers & Resorts is a PADI 5 Star IDC in Abu Dabbab. It has direct access to a house reef with turtles and dugongs, offering over thirty-five nearby diving spots, speedboat trips, and excursions to Elphinstone and Dolphin House. They are also committed to environmental conservation through the dugong project.
