Would you like to explore those sunken ships that lie at the bottom of the sea? To know their history and feel it firsthand?
The Wreck Diving Specialty will allow you to discover sunken ships full of aquatic life, which will transport you to the past and tell you their story.
Many divers talk about wrecks as if they were just "junk" without seeing beyond what it means to dive into the submerged history of the planet. Many wrecks have a great story behind them, such as the Thistlegorm, the Rosalie Moller or the Sirio, and others not so big but hidden over time such as the Nadir, better known as the Naranjito, the Numidia or the Thordisa. But the most beautiful thing is to rediscover and see those details that go unnoticed by many. With the Wreck Diving Specialty, we want to teach you to get the most out of a wreck from all possible angles.
The objective is that you learn to manage yourself safely and develop the correct techniques in a specific dive on sunken ships. Another attraction of this specialty is to study and learn more about the history of the wrecks and discover their secrets. You will also learn how to throw a penetration line and follow it correctly.
What does the Wreck Diving Specialty consist of?
It consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.
Theoretical part: To complete the theoretical part, we will give you the Wreck Diver manual and after reading it, you will complete the simple knowledge review that appears at the end of it. In the classroom, they will correct it by resolving all your possible doubts. This course does not have an exam.
Practical part: You will do 4 dives to practice wreck diving skills. In them you will learn:
Planning and safety management in a wreck dive
Navigation and orientation patterns
Location and investigation of a wreck
Specific signals
Location of points of interest and possible penetrations in rooms
Safety rules in the face of possible unstable places
General overview of the state of conservation of the wreck
And a selection of exercises and specific practices of diving in sunken ships.
Buoyancy techniques are essential, so we will adjust your position and stability well, in such a way that you will reduce your consumption and gain in comfort.
You will study in depth details of the dive that you have never seen before.
Warning: After doing this course, it is very possible that you will want to learn about the history behind the wrecks and need to discover them! We are not responsible 😉
