Have you always wanted to learn to dive, explore the seabed and the diversity that lives in it?
The Open Water course is the first diving course where you will acquire the necessary knowledge to become an autonomous and certified diver to dive, up to 18 meters deep, anywhere in the world 🤯 without the need to be accompanied by an instructor.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular and recognized diving course in the world and has introduced millions of people to the diving adventure lifestyle.
What does the Open Water course consist of?
This course is divided into 3 parts.
On the one hand, the theoretical part can be done online (depending on the center) or in person at the center to understand the basic aspects of diving, such as the effects of pressure underwater on our body, safety methods, how the diving equipment works, communication underwater, and the marine life that you will see during your dive. This content is easy to understand and low difficulty, thanks to the videos and other explanatory resources that make the theory enjoyable and entertaining.
After completing the theory, you can apply this knowledge underwater 😏 in the practical part, where you will disassemble and assemble the equipment, learn how each of its parts works, and learn to resolve different situations underwater, always prioritizing your safety and the protection of the marine environment 🪸. You will do the following dives:
Pool dives with an instructor where you will become familiar for the first time with the sensation of breathing underwater and some exercises will be carried out to carry out the practices in the sea with total safety. Out of the water you will do the first practice, knowing and assembling your own diving equipment. In the second practice, you will immerse yourself in the pool to test the equipment, gain confidence, technique, and skill.
Dives in the sea: This is the coolest part of the course😉 It is the part where you are going to enjoy the most since it will be the time to put into practice everything you have learned!
You will do 4 dives of approximately 45 minutes each:
Dives 1 and 2 will be carried out to a depth of between 6 and 12 meters, adapting to the environment and enjoying aquatic life.
Dives 3 and 4, will be carried out to a depth of between 12 and 18 meters, consolidating knowledge, and acquiring skills in buoyancy, finning, and interaction with colleagues and instructors.
Warning: After doing this course, it is very possible that you will start to feel a certain addiction to diving! We are not responsible 😉
