Discover the Underwater World with the Open Water Course 🌊

Have you always dreamed of learning to dive, exploring the ocean's depths, and experiencing the incredible diversity beneath the waves? The Open Water course is your gateway to becoming a certified and autonomous diver, allowing you to dive up to 18 meters deep anywhere in the world 🌍, without needing an instructor by your side.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular and widely recognized diving certification worldwide, introducing millions to the adventurous lifestyle of scuba diving.

What Does the Open Water Course Involve?

The Open Water course is divided into three main components:

  1. Theoretical Learning: You can complete the theory portion online (depending on the dive center) or in person. This section covers the fundamentals of diving, including how underwater pressure affects your body, essential safety procedures, how diving equipment works, underwater communication, and the marine life you'll encounter. The material is designed to be easy to understand, with engaging videos and resources that make learning both enjoyable and informative.

  2. Practical Training: After mastering the theory, you'll take your knowledge underwater. You'll learn to assemble and disassemble your diving equipment, understand how each part functions, and practice handling various scenarios underwater, with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental protection 🪸. The practical sessions include:

    • Pool Dives: Your first experience breathing underwater will take place in a pool under the supervision of an instructor. You'll perform initial exercises to prepare for safe and confident open water dives. Outside the water, you'll practice assembling your gear and familiarizing yourself with its components. During the second pool session, you'll dive with your gear to build confidence, technique, and skill.

    • Open Water Dives: This is where the real adventure begins! You'll complete 4 dives, each lasting around 45 minutes:

      • Dives 1 & 2: You'll dive to depths between 6 and 12 meters, adapting to the environment and enjoying the aquatic life.

      • Dives 3 & 4: These dives reach depths of 12 to 18 meters, where you'll refine your buoyancy, finning techniques, and interaction with your dive buddies and instructor.

Warning: After completing this course, you might just get hooked on diving! But don’t worry, we’re not responsible for your new obsession 😉.
